I awoke to a sudden downpour at about 7ish in the morning. "Dammit!" I thought, "Why does it have to rain the day Gene and I plan to go to the beach?" Very grouchy by this time having be woken an hour before my alarm was set to go off and not relishing the prospect of having what was supposed to be a lovely day at the beach shelved, I proceeded to try to salvage whatever time I had left to sleep.

Later when I was getting ready for the musicians meeting, I decide, in all the spirit of optimisim, to bring all my stuff along with me. Though it was very dreary, I hoped that the sun would come out to play by the end of my meeting.

No such luck.

Gene picked me up from church at about 1.30pm. He was very late and not in the best of moods. Traffic was horrid and he told me it took him 25 mins from the CTE exit at Potong Pasir to church. Oops. And then we had no idea where to go. So he just kinda drove..... He kinda was in a bad mood already and stupid drivers weren't helping.

At about 2ish in the afternoon, we were near our place when suddenly the sun came out! We quickly went back to his place to get his stuff and soon found ourselves at Tanjong beach in Sentosa. Yay!

We had a very interesting time.

Lemme tell you about the ah pek.

While I was reading my book, Gene mentioned to me that there was this ah pek who looks very dodgy. I took no notice at that time, and we didn't bother about him but later when I glanced to my left, I was greeted with a very replusive sight. There he was, this ah pek, lying on his front, sun-tanning. Nothing wrong, you might think, but wait. He's fat, think Moses Lim, and he was wearing a thong. Yes people. A THONG. I turned to Gene to tell him and burst out laughing. And later, he used to cap he was wearing to cover his privates when he turned around. By this time I am laughing again. Disgusted, yes, but very amused.

Then came Gene's favorite part of the day. *Rolls eyes* A few models in bikini's came to the area of the beach we were at and proceeded to have a photoshoot.

Gene and I were trying to think what this photoshoot could be for and while I was explaining to him that it couldn't have been for a magazine because there were too many photographers, 4 photographers to a model, and suddenly....

"Urrrghhhh....."
"What?" I turned and I saw that the ah pek had stood up. *My eyes!* That thong is too small for him and bordering on obscene.
"Why didn't you warn me?!" *Smacks Gene*

The ah pek dresses, thank goodness, and then proceeds to go round to every model, stands very close to where she is posing for the photographers and openly stares at them. CREEPY!!!!!

At night, Gene brought me to Timbre for some drinks and good live music. A local band, Goodfellas, was playing that night and he brought me to hear them. They were very very good. Their sound was fantastic, and the two lead singers voices are awesome. They were able to switch genres [Ray Charles, The Temptations, Black Eye Peas, Radiohead, The Killers etc.] effortlessly and were extremely entertaining to watch. Great stuff.

So my Saturday was fantastic.

On Sunday, Gene and I went to the Car-nival at the Expo after lunch. There were plenty plenty people!!! And I bought boring black neck-rests for the car cuz he wouldn't let me get the cute doggie ones. After that we went to J8 to get earrings and met his family at Pow Sing in Serangoon Gardens for dinner.
