I really hate it when sales people harrass you. Good service is one thing, but following you around and constantly getting stuff to show you is really something else altogether. Why can't I just be left to browse in peace? Even if I see something in the shop I like, I'll never get it because I'd hate to spend another moment in there.

Yesterday, while waiting for the bus at Toa Payoh Interchange, I decided to do a little shopping. I had about 15 mins to kill. I walked into a shop to check out some clothes. As I was browsing through their rack of skirts, the salesgirl approaches me and tells me to feel free to look around in chinese. I smile and nod. Then while I was still browsing, she goes over to another rack and gets a skirt to show me and starts telling me something I didn't really understand but I politely say to her in chinese, yes, in chinese, "Ok, wo zi ji kan." Which roughly translates to "I can browse on my own". I move on to another rack, and she does it again! Keeps trying to point out stuff to me in the rack then takes something else to show me. Again I tell her, "Wo zi ji kan." I move on to the back of the shop to look at other stuff and doggone it, SHE DOES IT AGAIN! By this time I'm really thinking, wtf is wrong with this woman? And it's really starting to piss me off so I make my way out of the shop and ANOTHER salesgirl come at me with a pair of pants and starts telling me something, but I walk out leaving her in mid sentance. Which part of WO ZI JI KAN did she NOT understand? And I thought my chinese was bad. Idiots.

Anyway, I bought a new pair of Nike Dunks! *dances* I'm so happy!!! *dances* And, Gene came over for dinner with the family on Tuesday night. It went pretty well. I think I was more nervous than he was.

After work today, if the weather permits, I'll go for a swim and maybe enjoy the sauna for a bit before heading down to church for music practice. Please don't rain, please don't rain!!!
