Oh, my aching legs.....

I am very proud of myself. On Saturday morning Gene and I went for a trek at Macritchie Reservoir because I wanted to go check out the tree-top walk. If it were really up to me, I would have driven to the entrance at the Singapore Island Country Club and walked the approximate 1 hour trail. But he said we'll walk, from my place, and so we did. And if it were really up to me, I would have taken the bus home after we got there and finished the tree-top walk. But he said we'll walk back, and so we did.

We took the blue route then took the yellow route on the way back.

Route 3 [Blue]
Distance: 1o.3 km

Route 4 [Yellow]
Distance: 11 km

Traced in dark red is the route we walked. The star defines our start and end point (The reservoir entrance near the Little Sisters of the Poor.).

I walked for more than 10 km! *gasp* Our trek took us 4 hours to complete and then I still had to walk to Longhouse to have lunch. I was so darned thirsty after that.

But I had a lot of fun and all that exercise and fresh air was really good. I definately worked off the 2 Krispy Kremes I had the night before.

In the evening we met his friends for dinner. We went to Komala Villas at Little India. That was the place he brought me to on our first date. I remember it being pretty funny because he didn't tell me that they wouldn't give us any cutlery and after being a little mortified, I proceeded to eat my thosai very "daintily", or so he says. Anyway, their food is really good. Their masala chicken was really hot but really really delicious! Then we went to China 1 at Clarke Quay to see his friend's band play.

Ok, now I am hungry and need to look for food.
