My brother called me at about 12.10pm asking if I felt a tremor about 10 to 15mins ago. The JC side felt it rather strongly and the whole JC was evacuated to the running track. The secondary school felt nothing.
.... And I just got a call from my brother. Another tremor was just felt and the JC is evacuating again. I felt nothing. Again.
Actually... Come to think of it, I might have felt something without realising it because I remember being suddenly overcome with nausea, like I was going to sick up, about 10 mins before my brother called. Hmm...
Tremor felt in Singapore as quake hits Sumatra
JAKARTA (Reuters) - An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale shook Indonesia's Sumatra island on Tuesday, panicking residents in West Sumatra province and sending slight tremors to neighboring Singapore.
The United States Geological Survey said the quake's magnitude was 6.3 and its epicenter was around 420 km (260 miles) from Singapore.
The Indonesian national quake center said the epicenter was 16 km (10 miles) west of the city of Batusangkar.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
Callers told a Jakarta-based radio station that residents in several West Sumatra towns ran out of their houses when the quake was first felt.
Tall buildings in Singapore's business district swayed slightly, witnesses said, and the tremor was also felt in other parts of the island.
A spokesman for Singapore's Civil Defense said his office was aware of the tremor but had no idea what had caused it.

Oh well now, I don't know EITHER. Maybe it was A GIGANTIC SNEEZE.
*smacks head*
Hello, Mr Civil Defense spokesman, don't you have anything more intelligent to say? Even if you didn't know, at least say you were looking into the matter or checking with the vast amount of resources available to the Singapore Civil Defense Force. "No idea what caused it." Pah. How embarrassing.
