Since my mom was going to be home too late to make dinner, I decided to do the cooking. *gasp!!!* I thought I'd try out some pasta thingy in parsley butter. The recipe called for Italian parsley and since I didn't have any at home, I thought I'd just use English parsely instead. The parsely I found in the fridge was a miserable bit (I needed half a cup) so I had to do minor adjustments to the portions of the other ingredients.
Only after I had blended all the ingredients together and tossed it in the pasta, my mom comes home. I complained to her about how little parsley she had and then she saw the box I took it out of and went, "That's cuz you took it out of the wrong box! That's not English parsley, that's Chinese parsley! Ewww..."
D'OH!!! Like seriously. *smacks head*
She says I couldn't tell the difference cuz I don't spend enough time in the kitchen. Which is true. Well at least I tried to make something. And in my defense, it didn't turn out half as bad. It actually tasted good. It just needed a little more salt.
Ok, you people can stop laughing now.
