October 26, 2006

Tuesday was a public holiday and this is how I spent it.

I, surprise surprise, woke up bright and early to lend my support to the guys in Radi8 for their soccer match. I think it was a good game overall? Though they didn't win, I think it's safe to say everyone had fun and it was a good experience, yes?
Anyways, I seem to have aquired a nice tan since I was sitting out in the sun, I'm still a little red though, but it's all good. People have been commenting that it looks nice.

After the match I headed home to wash up and change before meeting a bunch of the youth at Vivo City.
So it's the biggest mall in Singapore and I must say it's pretty darned nice too. The crowds were out in full force as expected, since this was a public holiday and cuz the place is so huge it's easy to lose some one. *coughcoughjaylordcoughcoughcough* *clears throat*
It's really convenient to get to also, especially if you take the NEL. The short under pass from the station leads right up to the basement 2 of Vivo City. The first store I see coming up from that under pass is.... *triumphant music* CANDY EMPIRE. I swear I could hear angelic music in my head (Think, Handel's Messiah's Hallelujah chorus). Ok, stop rolling your eyes at me.
Anyway, most of our group dwindled after a bit and since Becca was tired of us going into clothes shops, the remaining bunch of us went to Toy'R'us. That's where the real fun started.
At the entrance of the store was their big mechanical mascot giraffe, Geoffrey, waving its arm at everyone and if you stand there long enough, some dumbass will stand close enough to get wacked on the head by it. Hahaha.
I'm a little amazed that we didn't get kicked out of the store or something, cuz we were playing with all the toys, especially the talking/dancing plush toys and laughing like crazy. Speaking of which, I am indignant about them making Spiderman lame. Why would they make a dancing Spiderman?!?! Whyyyyyy??! The way they made it move its ass, its arms.... it.. was.. so...gay. Noooo! My eyes, my eyes!!! Poor Spidy!! Wth.
*holds a moment of silence*
Ok. This is part is fun. For you. Not me. Because I got pwned by Mr. I-have-ninja-turtle-powers Clement. This is why I stick to my bow and arrow. I'm no good in melee combat, I think I need to up my dex. Anyway, there were these foam swords were lying all over the store, and naturally, being the adults we are, we fought with them. The below video says it all.

I should've got me one of those swords. xD

Upon leaving Toy'R'us, we once again encountered Geoffrey. But something was different about him this time.

Oh... GEOFFREY! NOoooo! This is a kids store! How could you??
