August 28, 2006
August 26 has finally come and gone.
The big event,
The Official Opening of St. Andrew's Village.
I can relax a little now.
Saturday was exhausting but really fun.
My work day started at 9am, had a 3hr
break for lunch and a little dance practice,
then rushed back to school to take photos
of the arriving Guest of honor, VIPs and the
rest of the opening ceremony.
In a dress and heels, I looked so
'un-photographer-like', but I think most of
the teachers were pleasently surprised to see
me out of my usual jeans and sneaker getup.
I absolutely loved the DSLR I was using.
Namely the Canon EOS 30D. I want one!!
After using that, all other digital cameras
seemed rather... unsatisfactory.
And... apparently I appeared on tv! It was
just a fleeting glimpse though.
That's it.
I officially have 14 mins and 59 seconds of
fame left.
I also got to rub shoulders with some famous
old-boys. Ok, not really. I just took pictures.
But I did catch Woffles Wu looking at me.
Ugh.
I know I am fat but can you please keep your
analytical stare of my blubber to a minimum?
Highlight of the night?
I was voted best dressed photographer. {tee hee}
Also not forgetting the wonderful dinner I had
with my friends at Fisherman's Village.
Ok, now I'm getting hungry thinking about that
chilli crab.
