Strong mandate my ass.
I wouldn't count 66.6% a strong mandate.
The people who voted PAP were either
too scared or too stupid. Maybe both.
I've never been one to delve into politics,
but the PAP's pompous and disgustingly
arrogant attitude has really irked me.
Throwing money around does not always
buy votes. In fact I'd like to see them put
the money to better use then some of the
useless upgrading works in the HDB
estates. Á la the hideous arches along the
entrance ways into my estate. They look
like entrance ways to cemeteries!
The PAP has been a good government and
has indeed brought Singapore to what it is
today, that is not in question here and it
should not be the reason why the PAP
should have your vote. We need the
opposition in parliament to check them
and to ensure that not all they decree is
absolute.
